The clubhouse sits at 4,400 ft, with captivating
views from the dining rooms, deck, and lounge. But this is
only prelude to the course itself, which is a spectacular journey
through the Southern Appalachians.
Rising to more than 4,800 feet
elevation, it is said to be the highest in the Eastern USA.
Tee to green elevations change as much as 310 feet.
The course does not exploit
its surroundings, but nestles, and coexists with its forested terrain.
A unique feature is that there are virtually no parallel fairways, thus
creating a fabled mountain experience, close to nature, serene and
